How to identify a turbocharger

A turbocharger’s data usually we can find at Compressor Housing, or rarely at Bearing Housing. Data from your turbocharger are very important during the purchase of new or remanufactured (reman) turbocharger. On the identification plate, depending of manufacturer often are following data:

OEM number - represent mark of engine’s manufacturer
Part number - represent mark of turbocharger’s manufacturer
Serial number - represent turbocharger’s serial number of place, time, and date of manufacturing
Type - represent mark of turbocharger’s type

Usual types of turbocharger numeration are following:
